SGLI Summer Internships

Now Accepting Applications for SGLI Summer Internships!

The Summer Government & Leadership Institute is a six-week summer internship program for junior and senior high school students. SGLI interns have the opportunity to work at an elected officials' office for 20 hours a week and attend a leadership workshop once a week. The program is focused on giving experienced Mikva students "hands on" experience in government, as well as fostering knowledge and discussion on important issues of the day. In previous summers, students have interned in offices on three levels of government: local, state wide and national.

During leadership workshops, students have heard from lobbyists, community organizers, reporters, professors. Applications are due by Friday, April 15th at 5pm. Complete applications may be turned in one of the following ways: mail, e-mail, fax or dropping off (full instructions are on the application). You can fill out EITHER version (word document or pdf) of the application here: http://www.mikvachallenge.org/site/epage/114786_719.htm
